The spectrum wall
A meter that reads the actual audio
Twenty four columns on a log spaced analyser from 45Hz to 12kHz, sixteen segments each, with peak hold dots that detach and fall at their own rate. It is driven by the signal, not by a timer.
The honesty
It says when it cannot hear the stream
Roughly half of internet radio is served in a way no browser will let anyone analyse. On those stations the wall runs a slow light show and the lamp softens to a pulse, instead of inventing motion.
